    Activator Method

    How Does It Work?

The Activator Method involves a series of assessments and tests that help the clinician evaluate joint function and detect biomechanical or nervous system issues. This method allows the clinician to pinpoint the source of the problem and address it with a device called the Activator. Some clients describe the Activator as resembling a small, handheld tool like a staple gun (without staples) or even say it makes them feel a bit like Frankenstein! Despite these comparisons, the Activator Method is known for being one of the gentlest and most effective chiropractic adjustment techniques.

    Thompson Method

    How Does It Work?

The Thompson Technique is a chiropractic method that uses a specialized drop table to assist with adjustments. This table is segmented, allowing parts of it to drop slightly when the chiropractor applies a quick, controlled thrust. This gentle drop motion works in sync with the adjustment, minimizing the force needed and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the treatment.

    Direct Trust

    How Does It Work?

he Direct Thrust Technique is a hands-on chiropractic method that applies a quick, targeted force to a specific joint or spinal area. The chiropractor uses their hands to perform a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust, which aims to restore alignment and improve joint mobility. This technique is often accompanied by an audible “pop” or “crack” as the joint releases gas trapped within the joint space, though this sound isn’t necessary for the adjustment to be effective.

    Gonstead

    How Does It Work?

The Gonstead Adjustment involves a thorough assessment, including patient history, physical examination, and X-rays to identify specific spinal misalignments (subluxations). The chiropractor then applies a precise, controlled thrust to the targeted vertebra, aiming to restore proper alignment while minimizing stress on surrounding structures. Post-adjustment, the chiropractor monitors the patient's response and may provide exercises or lifestyle advice to support recovery and maintain spinal health.

    Diverstified

    How Does It Work?

The Diversified Technique involves a comprehensive assessment of the spine to identify misalignments, followed by precise, high-velocity thrusts to adjust specific vertebrae. This technique aims to restore proper spinal alignment and function, often complemented by rehabilitative exercises and lifestyle recommendations for overall health.

    Chiro Adjustment

    How Does It Work?

Chiropractic adjustment techniques involve assessing the spine and musculoskeletal system to identify misalignments and areas of dysfunction. Chiropractors then apply controlled thrusts to specific joints to restore proper alignment, improve mobility, and promote overall health.

    Flexion

    How Does It Work?

Flexion-distraction techniques involve the use of a specialized table that allows the chiropractor to gently flex and distract the spine, creating a separation between the vertebrae. This method helps to relieve pressure on spinal discs and nerves, reduce pain, and improve mobility, particularly for conditions like herniated discs or sciatica.

    Spinal

    How Does It Work?

Spinal mobilization techniques involve the application of gentle, controlled movements to the joints of the spine to enhance flexibility and reduce pain. This method aims to improve joint function and range of motion without the high-velocity thrusts typical of more aggressive chiropractic adjustments, making it suitable for patients who may require a gentler approach.

    Sacro

    How Does It Work?

Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) focuses on the relationship between the sacrum and the occiput (the base of the skull) to assess and address structural imbalances in the body. This method utilizes gentle adjustments and specific blocks placed under the pelvis to restore proper alignment, enhance nervous system function, and improve overall health.
